We think you have got this new DLC, then this is guide for Skyrim Hearthfire How to Build a House. First you have to do is buying a plot of land. There are many locations for buying this
1. Hjaalmarch - From Morthal, Go north. The location is in the north of Ustengrav. (Windstad Manor Charter)
2. Falkreath - from Falkreath go to east on the crossroad go north then left (Lakeview Manor Charter)
3. The Pale - to get to this location simply go south From the city of Dawnstar. (Heljarchen Hall Charter)

There is a good tips to find new location / property. first bring up mission log, write the title , and set it active, this will make the compass can track it
After you got new land find the crafting station for :
Drafting Table
Log Pile (20)
Chest [contains : Clay (30), Corundum Ingot, Iron Ingot (6), Quarried Stone (30)]
Carpenter's Workbench
Anvil

Skyrim Hearthfire House Building
Now you can start to build a house
1. use drafting table, under misc you can find layout of small house, and add it
2. Use the Carpenter's Workbench. this is for building your house foundation, for this you need a Sawn Log and 10 Quarried Stones. you can get the items from chest. For creating nails you can Use anvil.
4. Still with Carpenter's Workbench make wall framing from 6 sawn log and 10 nails. while for walls it needs 2 sawn log, 8 nails and 4 clay
5. Make floor with 4 quaried stones
5. Create Roof frame with 6 sawn log
6. Make roof from 10 nails and sawn log
7. Make door (you need Iron Fittings, 2 Hinge, Sawn Log, Lock, 2 Nails, sometimes you need anvil again to forge some items
8. After door is placed you can make other interesting items like Grindstone, Garden, Armorer Workbench, Fish Hatchery and so on
9. Enter the door and furnish your home
